Two German Shepherds Have Only Known Each Other, Desperately Need To Find Home Together

Anyone who’s ever had a German Shepherd or known a German Shepherd knows what phenomenal dogs they are. Which is probably why bonded German Shepherds Gus and Laurie have stolen the internet’s heart.

These two pups have been together their entire lives. They are all that they’ve ever had.

These two were found as stray dogs at 3-months-old and have been living in someone’s barn ever since. The now 7-month-old German Shepherds have been taken in by Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue in Stephens City Virginia.

“They’ve only ever known each other. They were found as strays at three months old and have since lived in someone’s barn,”Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue wrote on their Facebook page. “They’re around 7 months old now and we are so hopeful that we can find someone to keep these two together. If you’re looking for a bonded pair, look no further.”

Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue posted THE most adorable pictures of these two buddies along with their adoption announcement.

Since then those photos have gone viral and have been shared more than 16,000 times on Facebook.

People are going crazy over these two cuddled up cuties and loads of people are looking to adopt them. They may have to wait a little while as they are being tested to see if they get along with children and cats.

“We have had an overwhelming response to this post. If you are interested in Gus and Laurie please apply at shenandoahrescue.org/adoption-process, These pups are pending cat and kid testing and have arrived to their foster in Virginia,” the Facebook post reads.

It’s likely that these two won’t be ready for adoption for another two to three weeks.

“We have been getting a lot of inbox questions about this pair! Let me try to answer them here. The adoption fee is $325 each. They must be adopted together,” Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue wrote on Facebook yesterday. “They just arrived to their foster today in northern Virginia so we don’t know much about them yet. They are not aggressive but are in need of socialization.”

The pair will also have to be spayed and neutered before their sent to live in their forever home and it is unknown if they are full German Shepherds or a mix.
