Basset Hound Who Was Starving In The Streets Adopted By George And Amal Clooney

Now this is a rags to riches story! Millie the Basset Hound, who was found begging for scraps outside a California Restaurant, has just been adopted by George and Amal Clooney.

The homeless 4-year-old dog arrived at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in early October after she was spotted outside a local restaurant.

Apparently, the famous Hollywood star and his wife saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder and showed up at the shelter to meet her with their other rescue dog, Louie.

The Clooneys spent some time meeting with Millie and seeing if the two dogs would get along. Shelter spokesperson Lynn Collmann said the Clooneys asked questions of the staff and adopted her there and then.

  1. THANK you both!!! You won’t regret this addition to your already busy family. I have raised 8 children with the help of over 40 years of basset hounds in our home. Their gentle and nurturing nature’s soothe many of tears the kids and mine. The they are warmer than a blankie. Good Luck and have fun.
