30. In the United States, only about 24% of cats living in shelters will be adopted. That means there are tons of them waiting for homes with open arms—er, paws. Go adopt them, people!
If there is one lesson you can take from all of these facts, it’s that cats make great pets. Unfortunately, a lot of them out there still need homes.
So, if you’re considering getting a new friend for your home, head down to the shelter and pick up a kitten… or two… or maybe even three! They’ll make your days brighter!
There is more to your cat than you might have previously thought! They really are amazing pets. Just remember to check your local shelter if you’re looking to bring one into the family.
