Dogs have the type of faithfulness and loyalty that makes them perfect companions and this loyalty often knows no bounds. Their love is not conditional and they typically become our best friends. Mehmet and his little pal Cesur were great pals and the dog was a welcome addition to his life. The 77 year old man had become paralyzed and Cesur was the lucky puppy who was adopted into his life as a result.
When Mehmet first brought the little guy home, he had no way of knowing what type of connection they would develop. The two became almost immediately inseparable and they were a sight to see. The connection that they experienced became such a strong one, Mehmet’s trip to the hospital had an unexpected consequence: Cesur was no longer eating.
Mehmet would unfortunately pass away while he was in the hospital and once his body was brought back to the residence, Cesur sat by it at all times. The pup would simply not budge under any circumstances. Mehmet’s funeral was an understandably sad occasion for Cesur, as he remained by the casket for the duration. Any attempts at cheering him up were ignored.
He wanted nothing more than to remain by the side of his former owner, even during his afterlife. He did not flinch until it was time for Mehmet to be buried. This moment offered the proper closure for the grief stricken and he went home with Mehmet’s son Ali after the ceremony. Once they were back home, Ali noticed something interesting about the dog.
Cesur would take off on a daily basis and while he always returned home, Ali became curious as to where he was going each day. The answer is definitely an obvious one. Cesur runs to the cemetery each morning to spend time with Mehmet and this is one of the most adorable things that we have ever had the privilege of seeing for ourselves. This is the type of loyalty that we have come to expect from dogs and Cesur is a very special friend.
Ali will be providing Cesur with a home from here on out and we are happy to see Mehmet’s son stepping up to the plate. A dog’s loyalty is truly forever. We pray that Mehmet is resting in peace and it is clear to see that Cesur will remain by his side, no matter where he goes.
