Emu, a mangy senior street dog, was brought into a vet clinic to be euthanized. It was obvious that he had been through a lot.
He was in terrible shape but something in his eyes told the veterinarian that Emu was destined to live! The vet brought him to Sidewalk Specials’ adoption day and from there he found a foster family.
Through awareness via social media, donations came pouring in for Emu. He was able to get the treatment he so desperately needed. His health steadily approved as did his attitude towards humans. He realized that humans were ultimately the good guys and they were there to help him.
Finding Emu a forever home would prove difficult. He had some health issues, looked a bit raggedy AND was a little older but his foster family refused to give up on him!
