Thanks to a home surveillance camera, footage of a man brutally punching his dog has been captured and is being shared on social media.
Police are searching for the suspect and ask the general public to contact them with any information on the man or the dog.
The brutal incident took place in Edmonton, Canada, and it involves a man following a dog. The dog is merrily walking ahead of the man, who seems to be yelling at or towards the dog.

Suddenly, the dog appears to cower and lay down but the man beats the dog with a closed fist several times as he shouts and swears at her.
A startled neighbor heard the ruckus and came out to see what was going on. After the suspect tells the neighbor it’s his dog, they exchange words.

“Do you know her? No. Well, then shut the f—k up,” the man says aloud.
“Let’s go,” he commands his dog. “See how well she listens now?” he then tells his neighbor.

According to another person in the neighborhood, the dog was allegedly punched between five and ten times and then he dragged and kneed the dog as he dragged the helpless animal down the street.
The suspect is described as a white male with brown pulled back hair in a ponytail. He wore a dark t-shirt, shorts, and a hat.
The dog is believed to be a large tan-colored Mastiff mixed breed. The man appeared to call the dog “Lacy” or “Macy.”
