A woman spotted a dog in a car with all of the windows up and called the police. As they worked to rescue the dog, the owner came out of the store and confronted them. You won’t believe what she had to say…
Spread this around to help make sure people understand the dangers of leaving dogs in hot cars.

Saw a dog in a hot car yesterday in front of Pet Smart. I reported it to the clerk–they made an announcement over the loudspeaker–no response so the police were called. The owner finally came to the car–Pet Smart employee reprimanded him and so did I. I thought about breaking the window to get the dog out. People like this should not have pets. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!

Can you believe children are left in cars too. Great full to this lady and if you see animal or pet get on your phone and call police. I have have even gone back to the store tuned in description of car and plate number had them page the owner and tell them, and notify police before going in, If I had to I would get into the car to save the pet or child . Oh until we take action they don’t learn.

If that happens here in South Florida , I call 911 after I smash in the window . It’s in the high 90’s , rather go to jail for destroying a car then letting a dog die because of stupidity!!

She’s pissed that she got caught, I believe, she was hoping the dog would be dead when she got back, the dog was older and no longer served a purpose! $#%&!@* I would have never given the dog back to her and she would be sitting in that hot car with no way to get out!

This happened here in FL the other day. Paged hoping the owner remembered the dog in car.
By the time I got groceries…went through check out they had called police.
I went put my stuff in car. Went to car and tried opening doors. Couldn’t open anything… I thought perhaps a car was electric so maybe they didn’t hear it on and the AC was on but that was not the case either. The manager spotted me out there trying to open the car doors and came out there and she said she had called the police officer and all and then went back inside and I said well stay here at the car hopefully the owner comes out here soon … Waiting still for the cops about 10 minutes went by in the lady finally came out of the dollar store and said she don’t even there five minutes and I beg to differ with her that she had been in there a lot longer than that have been more like 25 minutes the manager then saw me out there talking to her and explain to her that that was not acceptable behavior for a dog owner. She told her that she had already called the cops and they were on the way and she needed to stay there and the ladies it’s no big deal and acted a ridiculously sarcastic to us like it was no big deal. Stood behind the car waiting for the officer to get there she tried it back over us. Neither one of us moved a lady filmed it. The officer then shows up and basically did absolutely nothing I was saddened by the behavior of who we are to put our trust in.

Liz Pilla

the cop took to long, he should have broken the window, that’s what they do down here in Florida,
Liz Pilla

no, the owner should have been locked in her car for10 minutes so she can experience what she just put her dog through
Liz Pilla

that doesn’t work, if the car stalls, plus, these days, someone would steal the car in about 30 seconds
Kayla Dawn

I live in a small down, little to no crime. And I lock the doors. My car has never stalled as I take care of it.
