The moment a dog passed out from being overly excited at the sight of its owner has been caught on camera.
Rebecca Ehalt, who is now based in Slovenia, returned to her family home in Pennsylvania recently for the first time in two years.
Video footage shows her walking up the driveway of her parents' property and being greeted by the family's very giddy pet schnauzer, Casey, which flops over after over-exerting itself barking.

The overjoyed canine is heard squealing manically as Ms Ehalt kneels down to give it a hug.
But it then starts rasping and rolls over on its back, seemingly exhausted by joy.

Is this a schnauzer thing? My rescue boy practically loses his breath when I come home after leaving him longer than a couple of hours.

Our schnauzer, Sadie Mae, goes totally nuts like this every time hubby comes home. Of course he encourages it!

Our schnauzer did that, but had a heart condition and had to take medicine. Her heart would enlarge and crush her lungs. She lived another year!

Yall… That was a seizure… Seen it a few times with my dog which made me take her to the vet… Turns out she does have heart issues! If your dog is doing this please go have them checked just in case!

Anyone agree. They say dogs are just animal. What love this dog has for her owner. Dosnt that take pure love and loyalty. Some humans are incapable of these emotions!

Definitely a seizure. They can be triggered by food allergies as well….esp. chicken and chicken byproducts and anything corn related.

Oh so sorry to hear this. We experienced the same thing this April with our Schnauzer. It is so hard to live through. My heart goes out to you.

Not cool. Get your dogs checked out by a good vet, this is likely a heart condition that is common in schnauzers.

Why did she leave her pupper for two years? 🙁 The army? Jail? That dog is in shock and clearly has suffered a great deal of stress by her absence. They’re not stuffed toys that you can just leave sitting on your old bed for two years… am fogged to think of what she’s laughing about. Not funny.

Is that true of all schnauzers as ours regularly eats chicken and seems very healthy on it?
