Sammy the Corgi from Texas is famous for his backyard grilling routine. Believing it’s his official duty to ensure the food doesn’t burn, Sammy insists on supervising his dad (Mike) by riding in a custom backpack, and eagerly charges a “tax” for his work.
Sammy rides in a comfortable backpack so he can oversee the entire cookout at eye level.
For his hard work, Sammy expects payments in the form of cheese, fajitas, or quesitos (cheese tax).
When he’s not working, Sammy enjoys his signature “Corgarita” (or cordurita), naps, and rolling in the freshly cut grass.
Sammy's dad, Mike, says no cookout or beach day is complete without Sammy, and the reason he started putting him in a backpack!
