    It works the same way on the other end of life too. My elderly mom suffered from dementia and would sometimes get very agitated. Nothing we could say or do seemed to help at those times, but our corgi would immediately go to her and sit quietly with her. Mom would start petting her, and would soon calm right down. That dog earned her keep.

    This is how my dog 1/2 corgi helps me when I fall into my no place place. I have PTSD anxiety and all the other stuff that comes with this issue. He gets me to come back to this world.
