A Dying Puppy Walked Up To A Man At Work. What Followed Is Completely Unforgettable.

He was involved in many activities…

…Including his favorite – napping!

There was plenty of time for that. 🙂

But Toothless Rooster Cogburn was given three months to one year to live. He made it to one year before getting too sick to carry on.

On June 2, 2014; “I watched the greatest friend, most loving pet and the most heroic fighter I’ve ever met sink into a well deserved final nap while his mother and I held his paws.”

According to Cody, everyone’s new hero: “I never thought I could love a pet as much as I loved him; as much as we loved him. Everyone who met him instantly loved him. His vets, our friends, a theater full of patrons when he performed a walk-on role in a play. He truly was one of a kind. We hope that we gave him enough good memories to wipe out any bad ones that came before.”

I’m sure the memories made with Cody and Kasie were the ones Toothless remembered most. Such an incredible, bittersweet story to share with everyone.

  1. I’m so very sorry you & your family had so little time with this beautiful sheltie. Thank you for providing a very loving home & taking such good care of her.

  2. Thank you for touching toothless life the way y’all did. Make no mistake you are and were his family and he passed a happy fur baby. God is so pleased with y’all as his family. That’s what it is all about. Love God with all your heart and love one another and respect and love God’s creation. And y’all as a family took in one of God’s creation and loved and took care of him and blessed that little darling to be able to enjoy life before he went home. Thank y’all and I pray blessings in yalls life. Please help his little fur baby friends out there for he knew trauma, his fur baby friends out in this horrible abusive world need love just the way y’all gave toothless. Rest In Peace sweet fur baby.
