Seeing a helpless animal suffering in pain is something that’s etched into your brain forever.
But when this puppy was hit by a car, no one stopped to help him. How could passersby just go about their day like that?

Thankfully, a rescue group in Thailand got a call when someone finally gave a damn about the helpless puppy and reached out to them. The volunteers from the pagoda raced to the scene.

As he lay there, totally helpless, their hearts broke! He was in dire need of medical assistance yet no one went out of their way for him. How could they be so cruel?!
The puppy, besides being injured, was starving! So they fed him immediately. Even in pain, he ate eagerly.
He couldn’t even sit up but he devoured the food. Makes you wonder just how long it had been since he had anything to eat.

Next, they set his leg while assessing some other concerns. They had to get him to the vet but by picking him up, they could risk injuring him further.
This is very important to understand. A spine or neck injury need to be handled properly by keeping the dog as immobile as possible.

After the puppy was picked up, they had to put him in the car. But once he saw the vehicle, he had horrible flashbacks.
That was what hit him! He cried and cried but his rescuers knew they had no choice. They put him inside and drove him to the medical center.

Finally with the veterinarian, the puppy’s injuries were properly assessed. He had nerve damage which made his head sway but the vet was confident that this could heal.
They also found out he was severely anemic and needed blood transfusions and iron. Those transfusions would make him much stronger.

The puppy everyone ignored was finally getting the attention he deserved and needed! The road to recovery was long but he was in good hands and with people who would NEVER ignore him.
