Bride Trades Expensive Flower Bouquets For Rescue Dogs To Walk Down The Aisle With

If you’re a bride you may want to reconsider your bridal party bouquets and trade them in for something much fluffier and cuter like Samantha Clark of Iowa did. I’m talking about puppies!

The bride decided to forgo any tradition of walking down the aisle with a big bouquet of pretty flowers and opted to carry a rescue dog instead — as did her bridesmaids.

“I originally wanted to use my own three dogs but decided that they already have love and a home so I decided I wanted to try to help rescue dogs,” Samantha explained.

Six adorable puppies from a local rescue center were given the honor of accompanying the bridesmaids down the aisle. While things could have gone terribly wrong, like the dogs having an accident, Samantha said they were perfect angels.

“There were no accidents with the puppies,” Samantha said. “They did not yip, they did not cry, they were more than content in the arms of the bridesmaid.”

These six dogs along with almost 100 other pets were displaced after Hurricane Harvey and the rescue center was more than happy to give the puppies their own spotlight in hopes it would help them be adopted.

“They were a huge hit. The bridesmaids were ecstatic to hold them down the aisle. It all flowed very perfectly,” the bride said. “They were the best, well-behaved puppies I’ve dealt with.”
