One of the Boxers’ most distinctive qualities is its love for children. They are a people oriented breed and prefer to have their pack close by.
Boxers may look like imposing figures from afar, but up close and personal they are playful and loving family companions.
Often dubbed the Peter Pan of dogs, Boxers are highly energetic, and as they grow into adulthood, they never lose the desire to romp and play like a puppy.
Check out this video on the next page where a girl is having a wrestling match with her Boxer dog.
You can see how playful and energetic the Boxer is while knowing exactly how gentle he needs to be with the girl. Aren't Boxers the best, especially with kids? 🙂

That is adorable and the way Boxers roll! Gentle when playing with kiddies and fearless when protecting them from harm. This is Laila and her human mom Wendy.

I trust Boxers with kids more than I trust 99% of humans with a butter knife! Every kid should grow up with a Boxer!

So true. All 4 were gentle with my children and grandchildren, but would never back down when protecting any of us. When my granddaughter was 3 years old, my last boy played with her and he never hurt her . . . but when the UPS man reached out to her, he moved so fast the guy barely got out the door. Miss him!

My first boxer, Sadie, was the best playmate i ever had as a kid. 30 years later I met a man with an awesome boxer. We are in love. Ok, am I talking about the boxer and me, or the man and me? Lol

Lol this reminds me of playing with the boxer i grew up with. Grandma got her when i was around 5. Only i would let her put her paws on my shoulder and wrestle me to the ground. She’d then lie down on my chest and attack at my ears and my nose and i’d guard with my hands. She would never let a single tooth actually touch me but she would sound like she was trying to eat me lol. She only played this game with me and we played it until she passed away at age 13 lol. I miss her still
