…let alone letting the dog come anywhere near the baby, but dogs do make for loving, protective family members.

    They are certainly brutiful dogs. Owned a few myself. A well controlled and great interaction to show the baby in 20 years time.
    My only concern would be the possible transmission of pathogens/parasites to a vulnerable new-born baby.
