  1. Boxers have a natural protection instinct with children! Another great attribute that makes them such perfect family dogs! My daughter was 2 when we got our first boxer and nobody could hurt her! He just passed away at 18..And still would protect her! We have another who is the same..She hears a baby cry and is on her feet ears up tail straight and on alert! Always will have one!

  2. After the baby is born, wrap him in a receiving blanket for awhile. Bring the blanket home while you’re still in the hospital for your dog to get to know the baby’s smell. This will help the dog know his baby.
