Some people may say that it's too dangerous and risky to bring bring a baby into a home with a big dog…

…let alone letting the dog come anywhere near the baby, but dogs do make for loving, protective family members.

That's exactly the case here as Scout the Boxer gets introduced to and meets his newborn baby sister for the very first time! It's the sweetest thing ever!

    My boy has had to deal with a lot of new babies lately and the patience and gentleness he has with them, especially the two 2yro girls who adore him, is amazing. I remember reading boxers are ideal for families with children and who also already have small dogs because of this.

    I worried a little when my oldest granddaughter became a toddler. Our female boxer was a bit of a “prima Donna” and I was afraid she might not like being around a small child. Not to worry. When Em wanted to walk where Ginger was angling out…Em would push her and say “Bove (or move) Gin Gin” and Ginger just looked at me like… “Really?”! What a hoot!

    I absolutely love Boxers & have had 3, but mine last Boxer girl HATED my 1 year old niece! We introduced my niece to her when she was still crawling & she tried to attack her & we had to lock her up each time she came over. She loved my older kids so we didn’t think it would be an issue, but we were wrong. Always be careful when introducing new children to any breed of dog!

    When there not good around a kids it’s a owners problem on how they raised them any breed period for that matter , if I couldn’t trust my dogs around any kids or babies I failed as a pet owner . I have a Boxer and Rottie and 10 grandkids that were raised up with them , They would be gone or sent to Dog training if they ever took to being mean in anyway shape or form .

    My boy Lenny loved meeting our baby girl for the first time and absolutely adores her just as she does him! She pulls his chops and ears and even dribbles all over his mouth where she kisses him and he licks her back! Most loving breed of dog ever and wouldn’t change him for the world!!! Cxx
