Boxer Meets Newborn Baby For The Very First Time, And It’s The Sweetest Thing Ever!

Some people may say that it's too dangerous and risky to bring bring a baby into a home with a big dog…

…let alone letting the dog come anywhere near the baby, but dogs do make for loving, protective family members.

That's exactly the case here as Scout the Boxer gets introduced to and meets his newborn baby sister for the very first time! It's the sweetest thing ever!

  1. Knew ma n y a family where the boxer watched the children. Kids in the back yard with the boxer. NOBODY. was going to hurt those kids. Loved. Lance. Albert Paul’s boxer. He guarded that big old white house. on 3rd street

  2. So sweet! Scout will be the best big fur brother! Our boxer, Matilda, is so sweet with my boys & EXTREMELY protective!! She would sleep either under where they were seated (high chairs) or right beside them. Boxers are wonderful fur siblings but you still need to be careful due to their size & clumsiness to follow common sense rules. Bc they will see the baby as a part of their pack, you can never let them have anything to chew on that belongs to the baby. No blankies, no toys ..nothing. Also, when going in & out the door, always let the baby lead first so the dog learns it’s below the baby in the pack order. And no matter how great they are about food & eating, never let the baby around them at their level while eating bc they will see it as them trying to challenge for food; even the best dogs can nip at their cheek (which is where they nip each other, on their muzzle) to “put them in their place”. Caden (now 10) was 2when we got Matilda (8yo) & when she’d come in from potting he’d take off running yelling “she’s going to eat me!” That’s when we noticed he’d be playing on the floor & she’d go wrestle w/him but would always push him down & stand over him ..just like they do when playing w/their fur siblings. So, we adjusted a few things & she settled right down. She’s been the absolute best dog I’ve ever had that adores my boys! She lets me know it too when she doesn’t like my tone when scolding them lol she does that warbling bark & I get “the look” from her lol when Nick (5yo) is at school, she’ll sit at the window, anxious & whinnying, waiting for her boy to come home 🙁

  3. She’s a big girl who got up to 90# bc her bro Nick was giving her cheese slices on the sly everyday (which is why I used 45 in 30days when I only made 4grilled ch sandwiches lol) he’d see us give her a piece of cheese but what he didn’t know was it had her arthritis med in it so he wanted to feed her too lol. She’s slimmed down to 74# tho so doing good!

  4. I have three boxer’s that are our babies and you couldn’t ask for a better fur baby around people. They are protective yet the most loving babies every. I wouldn’t give mine up for anything.
