Some people may say that it's too dangerous and risky to bring bring a baby into a home with a big dog…
…let alone letting the dog come anywhere near the baby, but dogs do make for loving, protective family members.
That's exactly the case here as Scout the Boxer gets introduced to and meets his newborn baby sister for the very first time! It's the sweetest thing ever!
Check out their precious first encounter and Scout's priceless reaction on the next page:

We are due in 7 weeks too and have a 12 month old Boxer….I’m nervous too as he is very high energy, but he’s also so loving! I’ve been playing a lot of baby noises on my phone and I think that has helped, as it no longer seems to phase him lol. Good luck!

He’s very sweet ,when baby whimper,he just looks all calm , just taking it all in ,an goes to look in the crib, an how he laid his head on her lap, just observing, was adorable, never tried jump up or anything , if you teach them right away ,w a new baby, include them, an they still feel loved, an important ,they will bond very well ❤️

Mine jumped toward baby and was shaking so hard with excitement I couldn’t calm him down, he kept wanting to jump on the new grand baby, I had to put him up, any suggestions on how to introduce them again without baby getting hurt? He isn’t meaning to he’s just so excited!

Boxers and children go together. My boxer would sleep under the crib when he was born. That was when the rails went up and down. He would get me too if he cried. Love bugs

I’ve had 15 Boxer’s and they are very protevtive they are also very good with kids, never have I ever had a problem with them attempting to bite or hurting anyone but will certainly bark at a stranger! They are the only dog I’d have, I’m hook lol !!!

Well just because you’ve had 15 boxers doesn’t mean they are all “great dogs” some are just the way they are -much like us. Some tolerate kids well and love them, some love them and are loyal but don’t like the noise/unpredictable nature that kids bring. Some times it’s just about house order and the dog believing it’s higher ranking than your child.. It’s not always black and white. Boxers are meant to have a low prey drive -mine does not -he can’t resist chasing a chicken or animal running about (he doesn’t hurt them but will not ignore them) and yet I have a staffi -which is a terrier that by nature, should have a high prey drive, but doesn’t. She’s also a rubbish guard dog as loves humans, the boxer however is the best guard dog ever and will not let anybody through to our property -even if he’s met them a couple of times. So, just because you’ve owned a few boxers doesn’t mean they are all naturally nice easy going dogs that love you and all that comes with you.. They are dogs at the end of the day -they are individuals -they aren’t always a “typical” breed.

We rescued a boxer and she’s the best with our son. Being our first dog, she was incredibly patient with my then 4 years curiosity. We got the jackpot of dogs.
