Beagle Freedom Project rescued nine beagles from a laboratory in Nevada. These Beagles lived their lives in labs, being used as test animals for new products.
Until this day, these beagles had never known a kind touch, been loved or felt safe. This special moment where they see grass for the first time ever is so touching.
Their lives are about to change forever.
This is a must see. Check out the heartwarming video below!

So glad they were freed. Beagles just want to be everyone’s best friend. How people can do testing on any animal is beyond my imagination.

It is a horror that human persons in science would demean these beautiful beings. We use the pups because we believe that they are lesser beings. No, we are. We are the lesser beings for using them and abusing them as if they are nothing. St. Francis surely shakes his head at the way we are so inflated with ourselves and our so-called progress.

Please don’t spread misinformation about laboratory animal welfare. There’s an intense process to even allow animal testing of any kind, including an IACUC panel at every institution that includes veterinarians and people from the community in which the lab is located.
I have seen the laboratory beagles at my institution and they are extremely well cared for. They arguably get better healthcare, diets, and enrichment than the average pet beagle.
Please remember a mistreated lab animal will never give accurate results for any test they are being used for.

They are sweet babies and finally free! Try watching this without tears. Humans are the cause of all animals who suffer, humans have the capacity to HELP their fellow being, yet some humans still hurt

I beg to differ with you, especially on diet. I hope that your institution has better nutrition than where my girl came from. My Beagle came to me very underweight and so scared you couldn’t touch her. Every animal that is in a lab is a mistreated animal because they were not placed on earth to be poked, implanted, wounded, blinded and all of the other cruel action placed upon them. There are plenty of inside videos that show the mistreatment of these animals and you can’t dispute live film of animals recoiled in cages with fear in their eyes.

I can dispute live film as PETA and other groups have been found to stage or doctor film in order to make their point. They have taken innocent or tragic images and change the context to make it seem like torture. Most those videos that are accurate are also going on decades old. And, as I’ve said, I have also seen it with my own eyes.
These animals do an amazing service to society. Medicine, both human and veterinary, is where it is today because of these animals. These animals, particularly beagles and hound mixes, are the reason why we have synthetic canine insulin for diabetic dogs. Less than twenty five years ago, diabetes was a death sentence for these animals. This is the same for cancer research (particularly Rottweilers with osteosarcoma) and other diseases.
Below are several examples of rights either faking or taking a photo or video out of context.

One of our beagles was a lab dog. She is incredibly sweet and we’re so lucky to have her. She does get very nervous when her routine is changed or if we leave her at a doggie hotel. We promise her we will always come back, and we do!

What you can’t dispute is the terror and fear that these animals deep in their soul. I live with it everyday and no matter what great service you believe they are providing it is just plain cruel and wrong. How about you be a test subject in their place then come back and tell me how great and amazing services are in a testing lab. I’m done here.
