Basset Hound Clown Car. Wait Til You See How Many Are Crawled In Together…

Devoted, Gentle, Tenacious, Friendly, Sweet-Tempered, Affectionate… these are some of the words that describe a Basset Hound's temperament.

They are known to be among the most pleasant-natured and easygoing of all dog breeds. Some are dignified ,but most are clownish.

Almost all are reliably good-natured, sociable, and peaceful with everyone — strangers, children, and other pets, too. At a dog show, one can count on seeing cheerfully wagging tails in the Basset Hound ring.

Well, what you see here shortly is a Basset Hound Clown Car! It's so indicative of their temperament and their pleasant, easygoing nature and the clownish side!

Wait til you see how many are crawled in this dog loo!! Check out the video on the next page!

  1. One of the best dog videos EVER! Makes me miss my poor Miss Pitty Patt who crossed the Rainbow Bridge 7/30/16, but she’s happy, healthy and pain free and I couldn’t ask for anything more for my baby girl. I just love basset hounds and their crazy antics. Every time somebody posts it I take a minute to watch it and think of all the good times, the joy and laughter we experienced with our own basset hound clown 🙂 <3

  2. Thank you and yes they are the best. We had the basset (Miss Pitty Patt) first and 8 months later hubby brought home a 13-week old boxer (Samantha she passed 8/13/15, so sad, she died in her daddy’s arms). Miss Pitty was heading for birthday #13 but didn’t make it. We did rescue a black lab/shepherd 4 year old for Miss Pitty and they did well, but Miss Pitty developed a cancer that eventually took her life so we are basset-less now because it has just been too stressful losing two babies within the year so we’ll stick with our Darla for now. But I have “joined” a lot of basset pages because I love the pictures and stories of these beautiful, wonderful clowns. Some day down the road I’m hoping to have another one but I’ll stick with our Darla and give her the love she deserves but apparently didn’t get in her first 4 years and that will be good for all concerned. Here’s a picture of our Miss Pitty Patt. She was so beautiful and oh Lordy did she know how to use those eyes! Her ears were 10 1/2 inches – I believe the record is 11 3/4, so she came close. So many loving memories. She’s happy, healthy and pain free over the Rainbow Bridge and we celebrate that . . . it helps some.
