Bella was found alone, scared, starving and injured on the streets of Puerto Rico.
She was barely alive, covered in cuts, bruises and bite wounds, which were tell-tale signs of dog-fighting. By the looks of her condition, it seemed that she was used as a bait dog.

AMA Animal Rescue’s partners in Puerto Rico contacted them for left. They knew they had to help her, otherwise she would remain on the hot streets and most likely be used for dog-fighting again.
In addition to her wounds, she was also suffering from several tick borne diseases. If she wasn’t rescued, she either would have died from the diseases or from infection, if not from dog-fighting.

Bella underwent several surgeries, including teeth removal and mammary glands, as well as cancerous growths and legions.
Bella has been through so much and has endured so much pain, but has proven to be a fighter. From surviving dog-fighting to beating cancer, Bella is a true warrior!
She has since been adopted by a loving family, who will continue to spoil her for the rest of her life.
