    I adopted a boxer mix who was surrendered because they said she was too hyper but they kept her in a crate all day, never walked her and took her to a dog park on occasion. Well, I don’t need to tell you what was wrong with this scenario. Needless to say I’ve had her for 8 years with daily walks and I feel so lucky that she is mine❤️

    Out of our 5 boxers: one loved paper; shredded anything resembling paper. One loved leather shoes… MY leather shoes! Not the hubbys, mind you, MINE! Two never tore up a thing. These were 3 generations.
    Our rescue tears up fabric! Beds, pillows, sofas, chairs… you name it! She’s 7 now and hasn’t chewed up anything in a long time… Thank goodness!
    All 5 were notorious counter surfers and dumpster divers, we’ve learned to “puppy” proof the house before we leave for any length of time.
    Every so often, we still find the remnants of that new loaf of bread on the yard!!
    Life with Boxers is interesting, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Here’s 4 of the 5

    I must say my boy Harley must really be an exception to the rule. The only thing he ever chewed on was one of my old tennis shoes that I was getting ready to throw awayl Gave it to him and he never chewed anything again. He is now almost 7.

    My Winston must have been the perfect boxer. He never did anything like these guys. All I had to do was sternly say no and he listened. He’s been gone two and a half years almost and I still think of him every day and miss him.

    lol I just picked up the remains of a box of tissue! Our boy is a paper shredder and his little sister is his accomplice!! Our older boy is a saint…. unless he can take advantage of what the other two have snagged from the counter!
