The story of Pricilla is shared around so that we as humans become aware of the consequences dogs endure due to negligence and severe abuse by their owners. It’s heartbreaking to know that there are still people out there who hurt animals and abandon them as if they were a piece of old furniture that serves no purpose any longer.
The torture some animals suffer leaves them scared and untrusting for life. Unfortunately, that was the case with this dog that was left at the shelter and didn’t let anyone touch her or come closer. When a woman noticed how scared the dog was she approached and started petting her to which the dog responded by screaming in terror. It was obvious that she had never felt love or kindness before. As the dog kept screaming it was a devastating sight to watch.
After the dog finally realized the woman was not there to hurt her, she calmed down.
Thankfully, Pricilla is now in a place she can consider home, surrounded by people who love her. Hopefully, she will spend the rest of her days trusting that there are still good people who fight against animal abuse.
