With a Dobermen it is there house and you are there children to love and protect. Our had his own recliner. We lived in the country one day my wife was looking out the kitchen window and she saw our dobie Pee on one pickup tire while I was peeing on the other. What a pair we were.

Make rules early. If they NEVER taste table food, they don’t crave it and won’t steal food. If it won’t be cute when the dog is 60# or more, don’t start it as a pup. The dog can be comfortable in a dog bed on the floor; the furniture won’t be loaded with dog hair and smell like the dog.
