    The thing is that people love their dogs SO much they keep feeding them without exercise as well =obese pets. Your dog will love you as much if you take them for a walk OR give them a treat because they just want to be with you

    I found that feeding my girl twice a day helped. That kept her from getting too hungry. She also suffered from a low thyroid level and the medication helped with her weight and her energy. Also, I never gave my food – once she realized the snacks were over, she stopped begging (she knew begging worked my dad and brother, though). I’m also a huge fan of hydrotherapy. If you have water nearby or have the money to pay for hydrotherapy, working them out in the water can be much more pleasant for dogs (and humans) in old age.

    Oh dear this poor baby is far too over weight. I know we love our dogs and sometimes give them more treats than we should but one has to draw a line somewhere and be “cruel” to be kind.
