WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

Pierce County Animal Control officers acted on a tip and busted a property in Tacoma. The property acted as a secret hideout for a dog-fighting ring.

Initially, the officers found 6 dogs with several open wounds and scars. Later, they found a dark, unventilated garage that hoarded several other dogs and puppies.

A total of 49 Pit Bulls have been rescued from the property. The dogs had infections from lying in mounds of urine and feces. They were all malnourished and in immediate need of medical attention.

Many of the wounded dogs were bred for puppies even in depleted health. Sadly, none of the neighbors ever got a whiff of the dogs’ abusive conditions.

Eleven of the dogs are recovering at a local hospital while the rest are under the care of Tacoma Humane Society.

Cops are investigating the paraphernalia found on the property, all of which are suggestive of the regular operation of this brutal sport.

Spread the word and help the cops track down the hiding members of this evil dog-fighting ring.
