Ever wonder what foods you can safely give to your beloved dogs besides the boring “dog food” you feed them everyday?
Most pet experts agree that giving your dog “human” is not advisable. Sharing our processed, high-in-sugar-and-fat-foods with our pets could lead to them developing serious health issues.
But are there any other foods that we eat that you can give them to spice up their meals?
Luckily, dogs can eat a pretty wide variety of food, and in many instances, what’s healthy for us is also healthy for them (WARNING: but NOT always).
There are plenty of people foods that we can share with our dogs that are not only good for us, but good for our pooches, too.
Check out the “dog-approved” human foods that are actually perfectly safe … and even healthy on the next page!

As a vet tech I would have to disagree with some of these reccomendations. Cheese is high in calories and fat, one ounce of cheese is equivalent to a human eating 4 hamburgers. I would also have to disagree with popcorn, I have done many dentals with popcorn kernels imbeded into gums. We pretty much stick to fruit, veggies, and meat as treats. Boss loves cauliflower, raw potatoe, and radishes.

My dogs get left over potatoes. Veggies. And whatever juice from the meat. With a higher end kibble. Healthy and shiny coat. I myself wouldn’t feed raw meats.

Your dogs are capable of letting you know what they like and what they don’t like. I would change vets.

Dogs LOVE cheese, but it isn’t good for them. It causes irritated bowls and gas. If you give them cheese, give them just a bite occasionally – no more.
