20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Never hit a dog…its not the way to teach or to make a dog behave better….and remember if you come home and you find the rubbish bin all over your kitchen do not blame the dog even knowing that it has done it…dogs have short memory…if you blame him after an hour he does not known what are you talking about…

  2. I have 3 wonderful pups! Oldest 1 will be 2 years old tomorrow and the youngest is 9 months old! I hate to even think of something happens to my babies! Today my youngest is being spayed! I had to wait for the phone call to say she’s okay! My babies are very spoiled! Today we went for a long walk! When they roll in the mud I laugh and take a picture then bath them!

  3. I lost my sweet girl at the age of 13 a week before Christmas. As she was declining in the weeks before she crossed the rainbow bridge someone asked me if I wad going to go with her when the time came. I couldn’t imagine sending her there by herself. She never liked the vets office and I knew she would be scared. It was hands down the hardest thing I have ever done but I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. Knowing she was comforted in her last minutes gives me peace.
