20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. So very true , had to put my magnum Dow a few years ago it was heart breaking because I had to make the decision to put him down, but it was the best choice for him. I stay by his side, miss him.

  2. I had to have my duchsand put to sleep 3 weeks ago she was only 5 years old with spinal disease she was well loved and cared for we were right there with her holding her when she when to sleep the hardest thing I ever done but I was not about to let her go through it alone no matter how hard it was I had her creamated not a day goes by that I don’t cry when I think about the joy she brought me I feel like I lost a child

  3. This is the dog of a ex girlfriend.. I grew to love him as my own. He accepted me into the pack and eventually accepted me as Alpha male. My ex and I broke up and she said he would wait by the door everyday, waiting for me to come home. 4 years passed and he was at the end. She called and said if you wanna see him come now cause I gotta put him down in the morning. I went and when she opened the door he could barely walk and I called him, he looked up and trying to stand, I walked over to him and layed on the floor beside him calling his name, he looked at me and rested in my lap. I rubbed him in his favorite spots, he tried to lick my hand. It was hard to leave him. The next day she called and said Shaka is gone, he was happy to see you.. Loved that dog. 🙁
