20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I had to put down my 5 yr old Boston , Chico a little over 2 yes ago, because he got Cushings disease and got really sick. I cried like it was one of my own human kids that died and did for days and weeks after everytime I heard his name or saw his picture. I have a new boston named Oscar now and I’ll be there for him to when that time comes.

  2. Yes, I have had animals in my life all my life since I was a baby. I have expirienced many many heartbreaking losses over the years. And during periods of my life, I claimed to never want to own another pet because it hurts me so much when there gone. But it’s during those times that I realise missing that unconditional love from a pet, is worse the losing one. In fact losing them has taught me to be even more greatfull for the time I have with my current pet. Which in turn, causes me to want to maximize my time with them in a way that when they do inevitably pass, I can say that even though they are gone, they had a great life.
