20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I didn’t read the post because it wouldn’t load but any ways this is Ollie…. Ollie is 9 years old and he’s a full Boston terrier and he’s my child and he will forever be my baby even tho he has a few more years until I won’t have him but I’ll enjoy my time with my fur child

  2. My girls were like children to me…I’ll miss them forever. Love the Boston Terriers…just like little people. Don’t understand anyone who mistreats these little angels…of any kind.

  3. Love it . I just lost my best friend he was a mini pincher from cancer he just turned 10. I miss him everyday,I had him put to sleep because he was suffering,I wanted to be selfish and keep him here longer bit I could not do it. The love I had for him wish to strong he was a very special fur baby. He gave me so much joy and unconditional love. If any one ever wants to know what true love is get a dog I promise you they will give you so much love for a little food and water and a pat on the head and they will love you more than they love there selves, fur baby’s are a gift from God….Amen

  4. My comment on # 20? Don’t go with your dog to the vet, let your vet come to you for that final “journey”. Home euthanization is the kindest gift you can give to your beloved dog, and to yourself, even though it may not seem so at the time. Not making your dog suffer pain to get into the car, make the drive, go into the building that most dogs don’t want to go into. Letting him/her pass peacefully in your arms at home is what I call the “Sweet Release”.

  5. Omg no I just can’t bare to think about my puggy being gone. It took me years to get another dog and now that I have her she is the most loyal dog there is, when I shower she lays by the door when I leave she waits by the door when I’m out of sight she runs through the house to find me. I love her!!!! She makes me and my babies so happy.
