20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I have lost 2 Pugs within a year,One was 17yrs and my other was 14 yrs.I can’t pick up their ashes still.Pugs are the most sweetest babies.Losing my pugs is still so painful.I have one left and in time we will rescue 2 more.I hope more animal lovers will rescue pugs more often.Bless all of you who have lost your babies,I understand your pain.

  2. I’m not even going to look at these things cause I know what they say. In the past 2 yrs I have cradled 3 babies, a 10 yr old pug, a 7 yr old pug and a 10 yr old malamute…telling that gramma would love them forever and ever and that I was sorry for doing what I was going to do, but that they would feel so much better….I cried so hard with the 10 yr old pug that everyone at the vets office was crying along with me….I will NEVER get over that one….she was my first ‘grandbaby’…..I held her the day she came into this world and wouldn’t have let her go out without being held and loved…. :'(

  3. I’m having to take my baby girl for her final journey this week, and this article made me cry. Snoopy is 12, has a heart murmur and enlarged heart, cancer, is nearly totally blind, and deaf, as well as other health issues. But every day we come home and she is so happy to see us and love us. I’ve been putting off the inevitable since Christmas, but I know it’s selfish, and I need to do what’s best for her. She’s such a sweet girl with a great big heart. ♡
