James Mumsford, an American teacher and composer, perhaps described the Shih Tzu best:
Nobody knows how the ancient eunuchs managed to mix together: a dash of lion, several teaspoons of rabbit, a couple of ounces of domestic cat, one part court jester, a dash of ballerina, a pinch of old man, a bit of beggar, a tablespoon of monkey, one part baby seal, a dash of teddy bear, and, for the rest, dogs of Tibetan and Chinese origin.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Shih Tzu's are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Shih Tzu owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Shih Tzu owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…
Check out the 20 Things All Shih Tzu Owners Must Never Forget on the next page:

My security system notified me of dangerous security risks on this site, so I didn’t get to see #20. we rescued a 5 yr. old Shih Tzu from a puppy mill in Dec.; she still does not know how to play; so sad. walks by her toys. She will let me hold her, but not hug her against me firmly (not tight). She is still leary of some men. My heart breaks to think she was denied her puppy hood.

I disagree that we don’t speak the same language. We have a 5 year old and a 12 week old and it’s amazing at what they both understand in human language. The puppy already knows what go potty means and beats me to the door. I can tell my 5 year old that I want a kiss and she knows to come give me kisses. I can tell her to give someone else a kiss and she licks the air even if no one else is there. She at least knows what it means. Daddy’s home sends them both flying to the door to greet him. They aren’t dumb they can learn our language even if it’s just knowing certain sounds. I know what they are saying by the different tones to their bark. Yes we speak the same language we as humans just have to take the time to listen and learn theirs.

Okay people I need some help I have a 4yr old half Shih Tzu’s and Pekinese and I need to find the right food for her. It has to be grain free and gluten free because she things with grains she itches and itches and she is very picky. I need small bit sizes too. So please can someone lead me the right way. I’ve tried a few different ones and she throws up with a couple I tried today.
