20 Things All Rottweiler Owners Must Never Forget

The AKC Standard describes the Rottweiler as “a calm, confident, and courageous dog with a self-assured aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Rottweilers are no exception!

  1. Can anyone help someone with vet help for a rottie who is sick? The owner is sick as well and needs a blessing from someone who loves their rottie as much as she loves hers.contact kim Kimberly Perry Elliott.

  2. Arlene Rose I think what Joy is saying is “when the sad time comes, the last thing your dog SHOULD see in life is your face and SHOULD hear your voice” I doubt she meant that as sounding they should not.

  3. I agree as a Rottie owner for the past 25 years. However, any seasoned Rottweiler owner knows this.
Your message is absolutely correct, but I think it needs to be directly aimed towards first time interested buyers, first time buyers, and the knuckleheads that get a Rottweiler for their ego. ( I use the word “buyers” very loosely. It also includes the scumbag dealers that sell Rottweiler’s, any dog, state to state without any concerns for their well being)

  4. I have to share again.
I am reading every heartfelt post, and I feel fortunate that Angus lived for 13 years.
I know he lived longer then most. I truly feel in his and my heart, he felt he had to protect and love us. But I to had to make one of the most difficult decisions in life, and allow him to let go.
All of us, my family was there for him. My daughter layed across him, holding him, crying, as he took his last breath. He was her best friend from kindergarten, to unfortunately, 11th grade. RIP Angus.

  6. I love my Bailey, just as I loved Bear, Freeway, Samantha before her…none the same personality but the same in that they are the best companions ever & I can’t imagine my life without one in it!
