20 Things All Pug Owners Must Never Forget

What some call ugly others might call irresistibly cute! The Pug has turned into one of the most popular dogs in the United States.

These lovable dogs with wrinkly, short-muzzled faces and curled tails are often described as a lot of dogs in a small space.

Sometimes playful and clownish, sometimes calm and dignified, always sturdy and stable, good-humored and amiable — that is the Pug.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Pugs are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Pug owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Pug owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I held my baby until well after she was gone. I felt her leave, I felt her pain ease and felt her finally be at peace. My dear sweet girl, how much I’ll always miss her. I would give anything to have her back but only if she were healthy and not in pain or suffering.

  2. When my Rina got sick l was told that if l got another pug that it would make her feel better…well l got another pug and guess what,,,it didn’t work she just got worst..I remember staying up all night with her until she left us…she had a bad heart and there was nothing the Dr’s could do for her and as to this day l still have her left over medicines..I really miss her…SHE WAS SO LOVED..

  3. Karan , we waited over a year after our pug KC passed before getting another one. We felt like we were being disloyal or something. Then we realized that KC would want another pug to be loved as much as he was. Now we have Jax and he is not a replacement, he is just a continuation of our pug ❤️!

  4. I’ve never cried as hard as I did when KC passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Dogs , particularly pugs are really little people (or angels) in disguise! This was our KC when he was close to the end of his journey…

  5. It’s been 5 months since our (nearly ) 16 year old pug passed on and I still think I can hear him trotting around in the house, miss him so much. But wouldn’t have wanted him to suffer any more.
