What some call ugly others might call irresistibly cute! The Pug has turned into one of the most popular dogs in the United States.
These lovable dogs with wrinkly, short-muzzled faces and curled tails are often described as a lot of dogs in a small space.
Sometimes playful and clownish, sometimes calm and dignified, always sturdy and stable, good-humored and amiable — that is the Pug.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Pugs are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Pug owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Pug owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

I loved all my dogs. Even the ones I barely remember. I had a Doberman named Biggie and a Boston Terrier/pit mix female named
Maxine and
Max for short. There was nothing female about her. She was a little bully lol but I rescued them together
They were chained in a junkyard not even close enough to play with each other. Well needless to say, after feeding them and giving them water for over a month, I bought 2 collars, 2 leashes and walked them home and the jerky$#%&!@*owner saw me feeding and giving them attention everyday over a month and never asked about either one of them once! Well I got them everything that they needed, shots food a great backyard and some SOB poisened my little Pit and she was cold to the touch when I got home on my bed. I had an idea but no proof so I took my Dobie and moved out of state and never went back. You know how horrible it is when anything is poisoned? So me and my Dobie stayed together almost 15 years. My husband passed away and I had no one. Anyway that’s why I stress people about getting a pup or dog, cat anything to make sure you can handle the finances involved before taking that cute puppy home.

I always took my dogs with me everywhere. If I couldn’t (being a widow now) I’d ask a friend that she liked to sit with her while I worked but when I took her with me, if the place I went to wouldn’t let her in, I wouldn’t go in.
The places are much more pet friendly now than 5-10 years ago.

A former coworker decided they didn’t want this little pug since their kids weren’t fond of him when they had bigger dogs to play with.
Their loss. I renamed him Bazooka and even though he has no off switch and constantly breaks the rules (which he knows he’s doing), he’s still the best little guy.

We just found out a month ago that our Lola (who is only 7) has a fast acting cancer and the average is only 4 months. She has been getting spoiled rotten.
