    We lost our gorgeous gentle Kai last June – prostrate cancer (he’d been castrated about three years earlier) which spread to his abdomen, lymph nodes and bones in three weeks. He was just turned 6. It’s an emptiness like no other. We sat with him for hours after he passed.

    20 made me cry. Toby had a stroke and was brain dead last Friday. He was unresponsive when the vet put him down. I held his paw and cried telling him how much I loved him. How good of a boy he always been.
    He has helped raise 3 babies, now 11, 8 and 6. Toby and my son were to turn 9 together in May. Toby was there when we brought our 6 year old home. Life has changed since Friday. Not as happy. Smiles and laughter missing.
