20 Things All Labrador Owners Must Never Forget

One of the best dogs for children of all ages, Labrador Retrievers are kindly, good-natured, and take most things in stride.

Most Labrador Retrievers are very friendly with everyone, though compared to Golden Retrievers, many Labs are just a bit more conservative with their affections.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Labrador Retrievers are no exception!

  1. #5 is my photo!!?? I never submitted it!? Interesting how things can just be taken without permission!!! But, it is a great photo of my boy! He recently passed at only age 6 from cancer 🙁 So it was so bittersweet to see his handsome face! What a surprise!

  2. Lost my first lab 3 years ago to cancer..he was 10. It was like losing a child. I stayed with him until the very end and a hour after I was still there. Still holding him. Still cry to this day but have a 2 1/2 lab now. Love my fur babies

  3. Our chocolate lab, Hershey. He has cancer which is terminal. They gave him 3-4 months last March, but he is still here. He has good days and bad days, but is still happy and wants to go for his walk, play, but sleeps so much now and tires so easily. It is hard to watch this big strong dog slowly waste away.
