One of the best dogs for children of all ages, Labrador Retrievers are kindly, good-natured, and take most things in stride.

Most Labrador Retrievers are very friendly with everyone, though compared to Golden Retrievers, many Labs are just a bit more conservative with their affections.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Labrador Retrievers are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Lab owners must never forget.

    I lost my wonderful choc.lab.Saffron – 12 years old- on april 12 this year. It was so sudden..probably a heart attack. I heard a rustling in my back yard and got to her within 20 secs. but she was gone. Twelve days later we had to say goodbye to our almost 16 year old choc…her sister Krypton. The loss is overwhelming. I miss them every day.

    Remember no 20 , having a vet who understands makes a difference. Laid with Rufus for an hour before we were ready to say goodbye ,laid with him till he passed and for what seemed like forever afterwards. Lost my friend that day but now (mad )Max has eased the pain

    I loved these twenty things as they are so true meanings. The last one got to me as we went on that last journey with our last lab of 15 years ( our handsome prince). Now we have a 4 year old gorgeous boy and I hope that journey won’t be taken for a long long while yet

So many Animals are treated cruelly and it warms my heart to know all these boys and girls are getting the best ,they deserve it!xx

    #20 is the one NONE of us want to dwell on, but we know going into the “deal” that, barring some calamity along the way, that heartbreaking day will likely arrive.
    The highest honor we can give our furkids is to make every day the best for them it can be….in turn, they will reciprocate
    No purer love in the world than that of a dogs.
    Gods finest creation!
