20 Things All Husky Owners Must Never Forget

The Siberian Husky is a beautiful dog that is free-spirited and (usually) good-natured with everyone. He is very playful, athletic, agile, and light on his feet. He loves the great outdoors and requires vigorous exercise, especially in cool weather.

He should be taken running, hiking, and/or biking every day, always on-leash, for he is independent and born to run. If something catches his interest, he'll be gone. Teaching him to pull carts and sleds gives him a purpose in life.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Huskies are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Husky owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Husky owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Sandy, I’m sorry for your loss as well. It really is as difficult as i thought it would be. I just feel like I have to wrap my arms around him and squeeze him again. Wishing you peace

  2. I thought I would try and train a friends husky by hooking hers to mine, but we just ended up chasing two dogs all over the neighbor hood. Her dog just dragged mine all over

  3. LETTING them sleep in the snow is perfect. MAKING them sleep outside is not nice. My husky loves the snow too and will lay out for hours sometimes but of course I still check on him to see if he wants to come in from time to time. I think that’s the key, and any good dog-parent knows their own dogs preferences too! 🙂
