The Siberian Husky is a beautiful dog that is free-spirited and (usually) good-natured with everyone. He is very playful, athletic, agile, and light on his feet. He loves the great outdoors and requires vigorous exercise, especially in cool weather.

He should be taken running, hiking, and/or biking every day, always on-leash, for he is independent and born to run. If something catches his interest, he'll be gone. Teaching him to pull carts and sleds gives him a purpose in life.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Huskies are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Husky owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Husky owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

    The initial advice on NEVER letting them off leash is contradictory to #3 and a few others. Be a pack leader, and you won’t need a leash. They need you to trust them. And let them run. Especially after 3. Far too many people have dogs on a leash until death. My dog only occasionally needs a leash to appease uneasy humans, and oblivious drivers.

    Our Mighty Moku Thunderpaws, He is the smartest, craziest, loyalist, most handsome and loving fur baby ever.
    Oh, and did I mention spoiled….he is spoiled rotten…but he deserves it!

    Luna to the left…my baby girl and Falcon to the right…my beautiful boy. Huskys are the most amazing breed of dog….didn’t think they were for me until I got them….and now I wouldn’t be without them

    I kinda disagree on don’t let your huskies sleep in the snow, mine loved it!! They’re arctic dogs to begin with. The heat on the other hand, that’s different, I took mine in when it was hot, and I lived in OKC
