  1. the last one made me sob thinking of the day in the not too distant future when I will be going with him on his last journey. I pray he dies peacefully in his sleep when the time comes so that won’t be necessary.

  2. I currently own my 3rd Goldie. I was lucky to have enjoyed & love my first 2 for the whole of their long lives ( my first lived for 13 yrs when we needed to put him down due to his hip dyplasia becoming arithritic & he was no longer able to get to his feet. He had had an operation when he was a puppy which in I had hoped would fix the problem & I used to take him swimming rather than walking him but eventually succumbed.). I enjoyed my 2nd Goldie until he was nearly 17 & could no longer get onto his feet. My current Goldie was mistreated by her previous owners who eventually dumped her at the local pound at the age of 7. My husband read something about her in the local paper & we had no choice but to give her a loving home. When we first got she was so timid but now even strangers who we meet on her daily walks have commented on the change in her demeanour & confidece! We love her dearly!

  3. I love my Golden’s. They are the best friend you’re can have , they will go where ever you go. They give you so much joy! Just taking them for walks is the best! So many memories of my first golden, hunter . We had him for 14 wonderful years, made many bwca trips, sitting next to my husband in the canoe, running over the portage’s faster than we could walk. He truly had a wonderful life! We had a much richer life having Golden’s apart of our lives!
