    My first GSD, Athena, passed away two weeks before I got home from a nine months tour in Afghanistan. I hope she knew I was coming back for her. Four years and I still cry over her.

    Yes this is correct with any dog not just a German Shepard …….which I now have and he is 11 months old. I got him at six weeks old. He was so adorable I couldn’t resist him and he reminded me so much of my
    Sophie which past in my arms on August 12
    This August will be three years and there’s not a minute go by I don’t think of her. Sophie was 13 1/2 years old. I miss you girl.

    Yes a tear jerker # 20 How I know this feeling so well. Did bring tears to my eyes for all my past dogs and best buddy’s but just knowing the time is near for my Shepherd Bear just touched me so much more..Here I go again having to say goodbye to the most precious thing in my heart My Baby Bear..Will be heart wrenching but I will be by his side til the end..
