Doberman pinschers are considered people-oriented dogs that are affectionate and sweet with people, if socialized and trained properly.
They are loyal to their owners and are good with children if raised with them; however, some Dobermans bond only to one person.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Doberman Pinschers are no exception!

Long Post:
Am guilty w a lot of these, lets just say our situation is special,my dog is spoiled so spankings are done when he “mouthes painfully than usual”.
He’s got 2 wounds, before you judge we are at a situation that requires him to wear a steel muzzle most of the time(we dont want any trouble w the community, even though most dogs bark there, trust me they hate dobies barking even for normal and defensive reasons,we moved to a house and its almost the same, now we only make him wear a muzzle at night to morning, his bark is like thunder.)
He can still breathe and drink and even eat with it on,but of course I dont keep it on when he eats. We play 1-2 hrs a day or even more.
Im thankful for Duke eventhough he is a spoiled boy, because he is our protector and very understanding especially during hard times, yes we sacrificed thru those hard situations. 4 nights ago he barked,my mon went down at around 2:30am and asked who was there,2 scavengers said they were only there for our trash(I doubt),my mom told them we had 4 dobies and 2 knew how to jump over the wall.God bless Dobermans

Sucks to hear that I’m sorry, mine wasn’t ever alone really but we had to go to a kids birthday party and we were only gone maybe 2 hours he was in the back yard and we are Extremely certain that our neighbor at that time had something to do with it my dog barked at him a lot and my dog didn’t bark at anyone ever so when we found his body the neighbor was in his backyard and ran inside as soon as he realized I was in my yard freaking out

It’s b.s. I own and same story, I have a Doberman and have had them for 40 plus years. I’ve had insurance canceled because I own a super well mannered well trained and super mellow dog. But my neighbor can have snout of control biting obnoxious Labrador. Doesn’t make sense.

In tears, I remember when my Alex was leaving me he looked in to my eyes as if to say it’s okay mama I’ll be alright then he closed his eyes and looked like he was sleeping. He looked so handsome and I cried. It’s been six years and I still miss him so much. 🙁

After losing Roxy only two weeks ago, I can’t imagine another dog replacing her just yet. But when my heart heals and I hope yours does too. I want that same type of breed because she was so extra special and extraordinary in every way. No pet with ever replace the original, but I sure want to feel that love that I for Roxy my dobie again.
