The Cocker Spaniel is primarily a beloved companion dog breed, though he remains a capable bird dog at heart.

Beautiful to look at (and labor-intensive to groom), the Cocker’s amenable, cheerful disposition also makes him a treat to have in the family.

Never more pleased than when he’s pleasing you, he’s as happy to snuggle on the couch with his favorite adults as to romp in the yard with the kids.

    So sorry Betty Betty I lost my first Cocker Spaniel when she was 16
    And I will never forget her. Since that day I now have another Cocker her name is Lacey, she is a wonderful puppy, she is 2 yrs and I’m so glad

    I love Cocker Spaniels. When I volunteered at LA Animal Services, I realised that they are the dog most abused by unscrupulous breeders when it comes to perpetuating health issues through inbreeding. Chronic skin and ear problems, unfixed cherry eyes, bad teeth, etc. Some were in such poor condition, a five year-old would look like a 10-year old of a different breed.

    These is my 9 year old baby girl Lori Ann . The groomers found her in the street covered in mud and trash but after he cleaned her up she looks like a brand new dog.P.S I don’t care that all her teeth are bad because I have the time and money to help her eat only soft foods. My two dogs and cats two kittens are a part of my family.So I keep them until they die from old age. It is great knowing there are people out there that cares about animal’s just like me.

    Having just lost my OREO (12 years old- black & w/ white on his throat) this broke my heart to read this — cause it’s so true !! Am now looking , not to replace him , cause nothing will do that, but looking for love from another to carry on in his memory !!
