20 Things All Boxer Owners Must Never Forget

Boxers are silly, sweet and mischievous. They clown around with family and friends, are patient and playful with children, but show a deliberate and wary face to strangers, responding with unmatched courage to anything that threatens their loved ones. 1. My husband and I have been married for 30 years and we have always had a boxer by our side. We have had to say goodbye twice and each time I said I would never get another one because it was too painful when their end came. Of course we did and our Sophie is now 8. I love all dogs but there is something about boxers that completely melt my heart. I have never considered them as pets but as a member of the family.

  2. I found out my boy may have a surveyor condition today, bought me to tears.
He’s the first pet I’ve ever had and it surprises me still
To this day how much of an impact he’s had on me.
Could not imagine life with out him now.

  3. We see it differently! Got our first pair, brothers, when we got married, when we lost one, we got a new pair, could never stand to be without at least one in our house! Pair #3 will be 3 in May!!!! They bring joy and laughter ever single day. We see boxer similaraties in them all, but each and every one is different and steals a little piece of your heart! Best way to help a broken heart is to give a little piece away to a new one! Or two!!!!

  4. We just had to say goodbye to my sweet Norma Jean a week and a half ago… Definitely been an adjustment for my fiancé, myself, and our other boxer Chopper. Truly was blessed to have found such amazing dogs to rescue from shelters!

  5. #20 is sad, cause I’ve been there. Ghost was 15 & I was holding him when the vet had to put him to sleep. Even she cried with me because he was such a great friend, sweet soul that touched every heart that knew him. He was with me most every where I went. So of course, I was with him when his body just couldn’t keep going. I told him it was ok to leave me, I’d be alright, & I love you forever. He knew as he looked into my teary eyes that he was loved as much as he loved me. My heart was broken forever, but he gave me more love than any person ever has. I miss every day.
