20 Things All Boston Terrier Owners Must Never Forget

Boston Terriers are known for being very intelligent — sometimes too much so.

Their lively, affectionate nature makes them extremely lovable, though their sometimes stubborn nature or spurts of hyperactivity can land them in hot water with their owners.

Any angst about their behavior, however, soon melts when they look up at you with those huge, round eyes that seem to say “I love you.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boston Terriers are no exception!

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Boston Terrier owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Ok now I am tearing up hearing all the stories of losing your Bostons! I worry so much about losing my baby boy! I dont want to think about life without my BT, it puts a hole in my heart just thinking about it!

  2. I’m so sorry for your loss! It breaks my heart for you! We are new boston owners. I’ve had dogs all my life, after my last one passed we waited four years because it was so painful. I did a lot of reserch on different dog breeds and we decided a BT was right for us. Omg! We will always get BT from now on. Our 18 month old, mack is our baby

  3. Mike, this very same thing happened to my 11 year old Boston. Perfectly fine one minute, terrible grand mal seizure the next. We controlled the seizures with medication for two months, but the vet never gave us any hope that we could save her. We, too, were with her when the time came to say goodbye. It was one of the saddest days of my life.

  4. #20 made me cry too. I couldn’t imagine my life without my Abby. She brought joy to my mom and me, especially after my mom died. We comforted each other. She is my best friend and companion.
