20 Things All Boston Terrier Owners Must Never Forget

Boston Terriers are known for being very intelligent — sometimes too much so.

Their lively, affectionate nature makes them extremely lovable, though their sometimes stubborn nature or spurts of hyperactivity can land them in hot water with their owners.

Any angst about their behavior, however, soon melts when they look up at you with those huge, round eyes that seem to say “I love you.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boston Terriers are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Boston Terrier owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Boston Terrier owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. #20 was the saddest part of our life when we lost our boy Bugsy Boy Blue 3 yrs ago! He was 12 yrs old! We stayed rt next to him holding & kissing till his last breath! We cried & cried! He had a great life with us, we spoiled him rotten! We rescued him when he was 1 yr old! We’ll never forget him! He was the most beautiful Boston terrier!

  2. umm. the whole thing made me cry not just #20! we love our 2 Bostons to death and would do anything for them. our little boy had a stroke when he was just 2 and it near killed us to see him in such discomfort. he’s all healed now with a slight limp that gives him a macho gait

  3. I have my 7th Boston and have grown so close to each one. They love you unconditionally. Since I am 81, guess this will sadly be my last one – we grow old to-gether.

  4. #20 made me cry. our little Boston is treated like this. we love her so much. she is 7 years old. you know this should apply to all types od little dogs. if you are not going to love and take care of a little doggie;please don;t get one. let someone you will love and take care of one have it

  5. I dont want to like this scenario…. but feel the love till the last second…. my “Speed Racer” is gettn old and health issues have been kickin in…. my old man is always at my side these days…. my heart will be crushed when that sad day comes…. no matter how much i prepare… my boston has been the best damn dog anyone could have ever had!!! I have 2 new pups.. a pitt and a puggle…. neither trian like my man!!! I do love them too but he has been my partner… he helps me to train them!!!! Bostons are the best f’n dogs ever created, and am so blessed to have had the company of one….. so intelligent so obedient, and incredibly protective, as well as protective…. “daddy loves you “Speed Racer”…!” Always and forever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. #20 brought tears to my eyes also….I’ve had to travel this path with two of my bostons…but I try to remember to good times with them and what joy they brought to my life and hopeflly I brought to theirs…I have two bostons now, Hank is 10yo and Bella is 2yo…I always say when they are gone I won’t get anymore…but I know I’m lying to myself…best dogs ever!
