20 Things All Boston Terrier Owners Must Never Forget

Boston Terriers are known for being very intelligent — sometimes too much so.

Their lively, affectionate nature makes them extremely lovable, though their sometimes stubborn nature or spurts of hyperactivity can land them in hot water with their owners.

Any angst about their behavior, however, soon melts when they look up at you with those huge, round eyes that seem to say “I love you.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boston Terriers are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Boston Terrier owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Boston Terrier owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. We have 2 Bostons Bella and Maggie 2 yrs apart sisters, they are the love of our lives. I was with our boys when they left us, I miss my boys, Buster and Oreo, Daddy will play with you again

  2. I have two bostons right now. One is 8.5 we rescued Blitzy from the SPCA. Have had him for almost 7 years now. He’s been an only dog until two days ago. We now have an 8 week old Boston pup named Major. I could never own any other dog breed.

  3. All of it true, especially #20. My family and I lost our almost 12 year old girl recently. My kids were 5 and 3 when we got Coco as a pup, so they grew up together. As a family we were there at the end. It was very difficult, but he kissed and held her and told her how much she had meant to our family, how we would miss her and that one day we would be together again. She knew how much we loved her. I am in the process of making a photo book for my kids of our adventures with Coco and her brother Chip.

  4. I got my very first Boston Terrier when I was 16 and he has been with me for 8 years now. He is the best dog that I have ever had. I couldn’t imagine my life without him. Once you go Boston… you’ll never go back! ❤️

  5. Our incredible, crazy, quirky Boston developed brain cancer at the age of 11. After we did all we could for her, we held her in our arms as she took her last breath. I pray to God we did right by her. What an incredible friend she was to us. I think I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.

  6. I absolutely love Boston’s! They are by far the best dogs ever! I unexpectedly lost my beloved baby a week ago and my world has been turned upside down. When I’m ready I will get another Boston.
